Labels I Can Live With

This blog was supposed to be about relationships.  I don’t date much, so my focus became inter-personal relationships. Slowly the emphasis shifted to how I struggle to relate to my people and others as a result of my skin color.

I’m a 21 year old African-American female living in Chicago. I used to think that I was an outsider in my own race, but slowly I’m realizing that the final outcome of who I am and who I will become depends entirely upon me.
